Award-winning author Frantz Charles was born in White Plains, New York, on January 3, 1996. In 2023, he released his second novel, New Watchers: The Dead Sea Scroll, which established him as an award-winning author.
In 2022, Frantz launched his beauty and cosmetic company, Eden Miracle Drop. The brand developed natural products like soaps and hair oil. Frantz enjoys cooking, going to the gym, and speaking to the youth in hopes of making a change in their lives.
With appearances in television shows, international magazines, and book events, Frantz continues to captivate audiences with his creativity and diverse range of talents.
Charles’ journey began in a family that had little in terms of material wealth but was rich in faith. Born to Haitian parents who immigrated to America in search of a better life, he grew up without luxury, more like a wooden spoon than a silver one, as he puts it. One of six children, with three sisters and two brothers, all from the same mother and father, he shared clothes with his brothers and didn't have a bed of his own until he was sixteen. Before that, he and his siblings slept on the floor of a cramped two-bedroom apartment. His family moved frequently between New York, Florida, and New Jersey, making it difficult to call any neighborhood home or form lasting childhood friendships. Despite the instability, watching his parents work tirelessly instilled in him a deep drive to succeed. As a child, he witnessed things no child should ever see, but his mother’s resilience became his guiding force. Determined to change the narrative for his family, he set his sights on a future where the struggle was no longer a way of life. His ambition and discipline were fueled by a desire to create a better future, not just for himself, but especially for his mother. Growing up in the church, Frantz didn’t truly understand God until he encountered life’s storms and found himself leaning on Him for strength. Without a mentor or older figure to guide him, he learned about life and manhood through experience and scripture. He made mistakes, many of them including entering relationships that went against his biblical upbringing. At 21, he faced the emotional weight of an unplanned pregnancy that ended in abortion, a burden that deeply conflicted with his religious beliefs. Living in the projects shaped him in many ways. He learned to fight, protect his siblings, and navigate the harsh realities of his environment. Naturally quiet, his imagination became his loudest voice. From a young age, he spent hours crafting scenarios and stories in his mind, writing poems and short stories that served as both an escape and a way to process his experiences. However, as he grew older, his mind became a battlefield. Haunted by past mistakes, plagued by self-doubt, and torn between moving forward or revisiting the past, he had to learn to cast down negative thoughts. He realized that his mind could either destroy him or propel him toward his purpose. At sixteen, in 2012, he channeled this creativity into his debut novel, The GCP: The First Resurrection. Inspired by Suzanne Collins’s The Hunger Games, the story follows a girl battling depression and suicidal thoughts who, along with her friends, is called to save the world from resurrected gods. The novel features three points of view: Angela, a girl struggling with mental health, mirroring his own struggles; Cade, a 16-year-old dealing with purity and teenage pregnancy, reflecting his own experiences; and Colvin, Cade’s older half-brother, who wrestles with identity issues but ultimately puts purpose above personal struggles something Frantz strives to do in his own life. The verse Proverbs 18:16 "A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men" became his guiding principle. He realized that his gift for storytelling was not just for himself but a means to honor God and uplift others. After eight years of perseverance, he published The GCP: The First Resurrection in 2020, using writing to process his journey and offer hope to others.
The road to publishing his second novel, New Watchers: The Dead Sea Scroll, was riddled with rejection. Despite securing a literary agent, he faced rejection after rejection from publishers. For three years, he worked tirelessly on the book while grieving the loss of his grandfather and attempting to break into the film industry in Georgia. Though setbacks were discouraging, he refused to let them define him. He understood that rejection was simply redirection. His destiny wasn’t in the hands of others, it was in God’s.
In 2023, he released New Watchers: The Dead Sea Scroll, dedicating it to his late grandfather. A prequel to The GCP, the novel tells the story of five young friends facing an apocalyptic flood caused by La Siren, a water goddess. One of the characters, Selena, loses her mother and is thrust into the role of queen, embarking on a perilous journey to retrieve the Dead Sea Scroll and save her people. The novel explores themes of family, courage, and loss drawing deeply from Frantz’s own life.
His journey has been anything but smooth. Over seventy literary agent rejections and years of waiting tested his faith, but he knew success wouldn’t be handed to him, he had to build the man he envisioned. With unwavering faith and relentless work, he pushed forward. Today, his books are featured in libraries worldwide. He has spoken as a keynote speaker at his high school, visited schools to inspire youth, and been featured in magazines such as De Mode, Voraka, and Token. He has held book signings at Barnes & Noble, appeared on television shows, and shared his testimony of struggles, mistakes, and faith.
Frantz knows he is imperfect, but he firmly believes that God can turn any mess into a masterpiece. His journey is a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of pursuing one’s dreams. Through his storytelling, he hopes to inspire others to trust in God and overcome their own challenges just as he has.
BOOKS INTRODUCTION

New Watchers: The Dead Sea Scroll” by Author Frantz Charles is a sweeping tale of courage, destiny, and the fight for balance in a world caught between ancient powers and human ambition. At its heart is Selena Black, a thirteen-year-old who must rise to meet her destiny after the devastating murder of her father and the theft of the Eye of the Ocean, a celestial artifact with the power to shape the world.
The theft of the Eye sets off a catastrophic chain of events. La Siren, the formidable queen of the Back of the Mirror Kingdom, seeks to use its power to resurrect her sister, Mami Wata, and return the world to its pre-human state. She envisions a planet submerged in water, free from humanity’s influence, where her kind can reclaim their rightful rule. Her mission is not just vengeance for her people’s ancient subjugation but a bold attempt to rewrite the fabric of existence, threatening humanity’s survival.
As queen of the Marine Kingdom, Selena is thrust into a leadership role for which she feels unprepared. Grappling with grief, doubt, and anger, she must also navigate the political complexities of uniting the five celestial kingdoms, Marine, Nephilim, Cosmic, Sky, and Underworld. Her companions each face their own trials: Amina, from the Cosmic Kingdom, struggles to reconcile her flaws with her potential greatness; Star, a warrior from the Underworld, shoulders the immense responsibility of guarding against ancient evils; and Chantal, of the Nephilim Kingdom, fights to live up to her divine ancestry while protecting those she loves. The stakes rise as relentless rain begins to transform life into salt statues, flooding the Earth and signaling La Siren’s growing power. With only thirty-three days to stop the apocalypse, Selena must embrace her destiny and uncover her hidden strength all while facing an antagonist who sees herself as the rightful savior of her people. The battle ahead is not merely physical but a clash of ideologies, where the lines between hero and villain blur in the struggle for survival.
Richly steeped in mythology, New Watchers: The Dead Sea Scroll explores themes of grief, leadership, and the cost of power. Frantz Charles delivers a gripping narrative filled with epic battles, moral dilemmas, and vivid characters who must overcome their fears to save humanity. This is a tale of resilience, reminding readers of the light that can emerge even in the darkest of times.
