Eiza González Condemns ‘Disturbing’ Criticisms of Jennifer Lopez Following Tour Cancellation.

Eiza González recently stood up for Jennifer Lopez after the singer decided to cancel her first tour in five years.

"The level of bullying that Jennifer has faced in the past few months is incredibly disturbing and heartbreaking," González expressed through her Instagram Story on Friday, May 31.

She further stated, "It’s contradictory to complain about someone being mean while simultaneously being mean towards them. People are human, they make mistakes, and many are dealing with personal issues while also being expected to maintain perfection in the public eye. The star of The 3 Body Problem added, “The world is a complex place. The best thing we can do right now is to be kind. We have no idea what others are going through.”

González's support for the “Jenny From the Block” singer coincided with the announcement from Live Nation and a fan newsletter that the This Is Me … Live Tour was canceled. The cancellation occurred amid rumors of poor ticket sales and challenges in her marriage to Ben Affleck. The official announcement stated, “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends.”

Lopez also communicated a “special message” in her newsletter, assuring fans that tickets purchased through Ticketmaster would be “automatically” refunded.

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” she conveyed. “Please understand that I wouldn’t make this decision unless it was absolutely necessary. I promise to make it up to you and look forward to being together again. I love you all so much. Until next time …”

In May, an exclusive source informed Us Weekly that Lopez and Affleck, who married in 2022, had been "experiencing issues" in their marriage as she began preparing for her tour.
