Travis Kelce discussed how he remains "grounded" despite his high-profile relationship with popstar Taylor Swift during an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, June 6. He said, "Having good family and friends around makes life a lot easier...I've always been very grounded. It might not seem that way when I'm on the football field, but off the field, I aim to be a genuine person," the 34-year-old shared. In an interview with Will Reeve, the Super Bowl champion, dressed in a black-and-white top, shared his thoughts on life after the big win. “I feel like I’m at the peak, even post-Super Bowl victory and during this off-season,” Travis remarked. “Living the dream, baby…I’m incredibly lucky and thankful for everything that’s come my way.”
Although the Kelce brother didn't reveal much about his relationship with Taylor, she did in December during the release of her Time magazine cover. “I’m going to watch him do what he loves, and we’re supporting each other…We’re just proud of one another,” she commented at the time. Confirming their relationship in October 2023, once the headliner of the Eras Tour was spotted at a Kansas City Chiefs game, Travis and Taylor have attracted attention. Despite internet speculation about a surprise engagement at the 2024 Super Bowl, they are not engaged. However, various sources have hinted that an engagement may be on the horizon.
Adding to the excitement in his life, Travis had a memorable moment at the White House when he and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates were invited. Initially cautioned by the Secret Service that approaching the podium would result in them being “authorized to tase” him, Travis was surprised when President Biden unexpectedly called him up.
Reflecting on the experience on his podcast, "New Heights," which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis shared, “I had no idea President Biden was going to ask me to come up and give me my moment. And he walked right up, and the first thing he said was give me the floor. And I felt [a] Taser aimed at me when I was up there the whole time.”
